Walk it Like I Talk it!
February’s Theme is Love
Welcome to our monthly House of Peace nature walk. Even if you are not able to walk with us in person in the Houston area, you are still able to participate via this blog post. All themes of the month are universally designed (when put into daily practice), to restore and maintain your inner -peace.
This month’s theme is: LOVE. In particular, we will focus on the natural purpose of LOVE. Are you utilizing love for what is naturally designed for? What are the consequences of misusing LOVE?
In the book, THE POWER CODES (The Language and Habits of the Most Powerful People on the Planet) Dr. Stephanie Jupiter writes, “We must let go of this ineffective idea that our looking out for ourselves is a negative behavior. This idea affects our mental and physical health by slowing down our brain and mind computer functioning. What most people identify as selfish behavior is really stingy behavior. There is a huge difference between the two.”
Do you know the difference between selfish behavior and stingy behavior? Selfishness opens the flow of love and stinginess blocks the flow of love.
At the BRP Institute, we define Love as a lake of vital energy. Love involves connecting, bonding, sharing, giving, and receiving. A big part of the nature of love is to grow, transform, and bring joy to every entity it touches. For this reason at the BRP Institute, the majority of our knowledge of love education is centered around comprehending and fully living a life of Self-Love. Selfish behavior is self love because you are applying love to yourself just like you would apply love to someone else. If one views Selfishness as a negative energy then one will also unconsciously perceive Self-Love as a negative behavior and often feel guilt when attempting to practice self-love.
We all know that we are unable to give what we do not have ourselves. The same goes for Love. The more love you have for yourself, the more love you can realistically share with others. If you are not practicing self-love often, then you are also not accessing the divine self recharging energy system available to everyone in abundance. Self-Love is the key to your vitality and wellness in every aspect of your life.
Imagine a world where everyone’s religion (way of life) is Self-Love. If you can imagine this, you are also able to imagine a Heaven On Earth World, one filled with integrity, peace, wisdom, and lots of LOVE. Loving ourselves is one of our primary responsibilities. No one else has the potential nor the capacity to maximally love (recharge) you the way you can.
Self-Love is a Religion, a Culture, a strong foundation for building Heaven on Earth individually and collectively.
Homework: During our nature walk this month, participants were asked to meditate on these questions: What is the purpose of Love? Is self Love at the foundation of your living? Are you ok with being selfish?
Keep in mind that all of the schools of life-skills we discuss are all interconnected. Each Life Skill supports the other and all must be developed in order to continue to nurture your whole healthy self and Fully LIVE. So make sure to review the previous month’s blog post themes.
